Things to Know
Important information about staying at Tilley's Hut that you should know before you go.
Arrival & Departure
You are welcome to arrive at our Hut from 5pm. Should you require an earlier arrival time then please confirm this first with us. Departure should be no later than 12 midday.
Getting Here
The following links will take you to driving directions, local bus and train stations and a general map of the area so that you can plan the best way to arrive.
Things to Bring with You
We are situated in a beautiful valley but the ground can become very water logged. If the weather has been very wet then it would be a good idea to bring sturdy waterproof shoes or wellington boots with you.
Dogs
We realise many of you have extremely well behaved dogs who would love to come on holiday with you. However out of consideration for all our guests we have made a policy of not allowing dogs in Tilley's Hut - sorry!
Payment
Payment can be made either in cash or a cheque. Unfortunately we do not have facilities to take card payments.
Going Green
Not only is your stay of very low impact to the environment but for those of you who wish to reduce your carbon footprint even further and arrive by train, the nearest train station is Gillingham (Dorset) which is 5 miles from Melbury Abbas.
